Cherokee Purple DF Tomato

This is the Dry Farming Strain of the Cherokee Purple Tomato which originated from Tennessee in the USA and was reportedly handed down from the Cherokee people over a hundred years ago.  The richly coloured mahogany-dark red Cherokee Purple  beefsteak  tomatoes, with their dense, dark and mottled juicy flesh promise you the old fashioned tomato flavour lost in many commercially available strains.

Plants produce great yields upwards of 15 fruit in a season.

Dry Farming Strain tomatoes are drought resistant and is an exceptional water saver. Due to its hardiness you can “starve” the plant a bit that will reduce yield however make up with more intense flavor.
