African Horned Cucumber

African horned cucumber is quite unusual in appearance but once you get rid of the spiky thorns it taste and look like a cucumber. It’s a true African Heirloom and popular across many cultures and countries.

Plants can be exceptionally productive and works best when trellised, when conditions are right the plants will get out of hand and need to be reigned in a bit. Our chickens (read highly efficient and fast compost making machines) at Glen Seeds just love this, they eat the cut off’s as if it is pudding.
