Very fast growing brassica that is generally used as a substitute for lettuce., but also works very well in stir fries.

Plant Chinese cabbage during the cooler parts of the year, they easily bolt with heat stress. Should you wish to plant these during summer shield the plants against the heat by planting in a half shade spot or under a high percentage shade net. Mulching to keep soil temperatures from wide fluctuation will also contribute to success with Chinese Cabbage during summer.
